CARON BAKER-WIKE has been doing pottery for the past 26 years. She started taking pottery as an art credit in college because she always wanted to find out more about it. It has stuck with her as an enjoyable and relaxing pastime.
At first, Caron was most interested in wheel-thrown pottery, but, after a few years and many hours hunched over a potter's wheel, she began (through pain) to see handbuilding as a way to continue with her hobby. It has been 10 more years now and Caron is still potting along handbuilding...and its no longer just a hobby - but a real art form...
